Accommodation

You are free to choose and book the hotel/B&B you would like to stay at during your time in Brighton. There are a wide variety of options (and prices) available to you. I know, however, that some of you would like to be in the same hotel as other participants. With this in mind, I have provisionally reserved a number of double rooms at Jurys Inn, Brighton. In choosing this hotel, I have gone for a hotel that is centrally located, reasonably priced (for Brighton), and which provides comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. The rates for rooms in the hotel are £80 per night (inclusive of VAT). This includes bed and breakfast for single occupancy including Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Jurys Inn is located at the back of Brighton mainline station and so it will be easy to find when you first arrive in the city. This will also make it easy for you to be able to get to campus in the morning – the University of Sussex is just two train stops away (you will get off at Falmer station). If you want to walk down to the sea from the hotel, it is a short 10-15 min walk from the hotel and the lanes (an area of Brighton good for finding unusual shops and a popular tourist spot) is just a short 5-10 mins walk away from Jurys Inn hotel.
